# arXiv identifier (`arxiv_id`)

Identifier of a preprint in arXiv. Since 2007 it is YYMM.NNNNN (four digits before 2015); older papers use the archive name and a seven-digit number, such as hep-th/9711200. A version suffix such as v2 may follow.
