# BLAKE3 hash (`blake3hash`)

> **Draft.** Draft records have not been reviewed yet and may be incomplete or wrong; do not treat them as authoritative for legal or compliance decisions.

Digest of the BLAKE3 hash function with its default 256-bit output, written as 64 hexadecimal digits. BLAKE3 is a fast successor of BLAKE2 and one of the registered algorithms of OCI content digests. It can also produce longer outputs, which the regexp does not cover. Other 256-bit digests (SHA-256, SHA3-256, Keccak-256, BLAKE2b-256 and Streebog-256) have the same length, so the value alone does not tell them apart: use the field name or context.

## Detection

Regular expression (Python `re`):

```
^[0-9a-fA-F]{64}$
```
