It is DE, nine digits built like the VAT number (USt-IdNr.) and a five-digit suffix (Unterscheidungsmerkmal) for each economic activity: -00001 for the first, -00002 for the second and so on. A business that already had a USt-IdNr. keeps those nine digits.",
