# ENS name (.eth) (`ens_name`)

Name in the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), such as foo.eth, that resolves to an Ethereum address and other records. A name is a sequence of labels separated by dots and normalized by ENSIP-15, which is based on Unicode UTS-46, so labels may contain non-Latin letters and emoji. The regexp covers names under the .eth top-level domain; ENS can also resolve imported DNS names, which look like ordinary domain names.
