# Electronic Product Code (EPC) pure identity URI (`epc_uri`)

Identifier of one individual physical object in the GS1 EPC Tag Data Standard, written as a URN: urn:epc:id:<scheme>:<fields>. The scheme says which GS1 key is used, for example sgtin (a GTIN plus a serial number), sscc, sgln or grai. The fields hold the GS1 Company Prefix and the rest of the key separated by dots, without the check digit. The same identifier can be encoded in RFID tags and in barcodes.
