# EudraCT number (EU Clinical Trials Register) (`eu_eudract`)

> **Draft.** Draft records have not been reviewed yet and may be incomplete or wrong; do not treat them as authoritative for legal or compliance decisions.

Number of a clinical trial of a medicinal product in EudraCT, the European Union clinical trials database, and in the EU Clinical Trials Register that publishes it. The form is YYYY-NNNNNN-CC; the year when the number was issued, a six-digit sequence and a check number. The register may add a member state code to show one national protocol, as in 2006-002830-38/GB. EudraCT numbers were issued from 2004 until 2023; the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS) issues EU CT numbers instead.
