# eUICC identifier (EID) (`euicc_id`)

> **Draft.** Draft records have not been reviewed yet and may be incomplete or wrong; do not treat them as authoritative for legal or compliance decisions.

Permanent 32-digit identifier of an eUICC, the chip of an eSIM that stores mobile network profiles, defined by GSMA SGP.29. It begins with the identification number of the eUICC manufacturer, older EIDs with 89, and ends with two check digits chosen so that the whole number divided by 97 leaves the remainder 1. Phones show it in their settings, and remote SIM provisioning uses it to address the chip.

```
^\d{32}$
```

## Examples

- `89034011560010000000000000000121` — Example EID from Infineon documentation
- `89049032735180294610385712649039` — Synthetic EID with valid check digits
- `8903401156001000000000000000012` (invalid example) — 31 digits, one too few

## Translations
