# French tax identification number (numéro fiscal) (`fr_nif`)

Numéro fiscal de référence, also called NIF or SPI number, the 13-digit number that the French tax administration gives to each person who must report taxes. It starts with 0, 1, 2 or 3 and the last three digits are a check key.
