# IPI name number (`ipi_name_number`)

Interested Parties Information (IPI) name number: an 11-digit number that the IPI system of CISAC gives to each name under which a composer, lyricist, arranger, music publisher or other rights holder is registered with collecting societies. One party can have several name numbers, for the real name and for pseudonyms, but has one IPI base number (ipi_base_number). Works registered with an ISWC (iswc) list the IPI name numbers of their creators.
