# Dutch healthcare provider code (AGB-code) (`nl_agb_code`)

AGB-code (Algemeen GegevensBeheer zorgverleners), the eight-digit code of a party in the AGB register, which Vektis keeps for the Dutch health insurers. Individual caregivers (zorgverleners), care businesses (ondernemingen) and their locations (vestigingen) each have their own code. It is the key that identifies them in billing, in contracts with insurers and in referrals. The first two digits give the type of care (zorgsoort).
