# Dutch neighbourhood code (CBS buurtcode) (`nl_buurt_code`)

Code of a neighbourhood (buurt) in the Wijk- en Buurtkaart of Statistics Netherlands (CBS), BU followed by eight characters, the 4-digit municipality code (nl_municipality_code), the 2-character district number (nl_wijk_code) and a 2-digit neighbourhood number, as in BU05990110 for Stadsdriehoek in Rotterdam. In 2026 only Amsterdam uses letters in the district part, as in BU0363AA01. CBS open data table 86358NED lists the codes of 2026.
