# OpenStreetMap username (`osm_user`)

Display name of an OpenStreetMap account. In element data it names the user who made the latest version of the object; osm2pgsql writes it to an osm_user column. Users can change their display name, so the numeric user ID (osm_uid) is the stable reference.
