# Paraguayan taxpayer number (RUC) (`py_ruc`)

Registro Único del Contribuyente, the tax number of persons and legal entities in Paraguay. Legal entities have eight digits starting from 80000000; persons have up to nine digits. The last digit is a check digit, usually written after a hyphen.
