# SHA-384 hash (`sha384hash`)

Digest of the SHA-384 hash function (SHA-2 family, 384 bits): a SHA-512 variant with different initial values and a truncated output. It is written as 96 hexadecimal digits. SHA3-384 digests have the same length, so the value alone does not tell them apart: use the field name or context.

- Parent datatype: `hash`
- Personal data (PII): no
- Categories: Cryptographic identifiers (cryptography)
- Countries: global
- Languages: Common to most languages (common)
- Classification: identifier

## Detection

Regular expression (Python `re`):

```
^[0-9a-fA-F]{96}$
```

## Examples

- `38b060a751ac96384cd9327eb1b1e36a21fdb71114be07434c0cc7bf63f6e1da274edebfe76f65fbd51ad2f14898b95` (invalid example) — one hex digit short (95 instead of 96)

## Metacrafter rules

2 rules: 1 match the field name, 1 match values.
