# SHA3-256 hash (`sha3_256hash`)

> **Draft.** Draft records have not been reviewed yet and may be incomplete or wrong; do not treat them as authoritative for legal or compliance decisions.

Digest of the SHA3-256 hash function (SHA-3 family, FIPS 202, 256 bits). It is written as 64 hexadecimal digits. SHA3-256 pads its input differently from the original Keccak-256 used by Ethereum, so the two give different digests of the same data. Other 256-bit digests (SHA-256, Keccak-256, BLAKE2b-256, BLAKE3 and Streebog-256) have the same length, so the value alone does not tell them apart: use the field name or context.

## Detection

Regular expression (Python `re`):

```
^[0-9a-fA-F]{64}$
```
