# Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) code (`sitc`)

Code of the UN Standard International Trade Classification of goods, used in international trade statistics. Revision 4 (SITC Rev. 4) has sections (one digit), divisions (two digits), groups (three digits), subgroups (four digits) and basic headings (five digits), and each code begins with the code of the level above it. The UN Statistics Division and UN Comtrade write the codes without separators. The regexp only checks for one to five digits, so it also matches other short numbers.
