# European Medical Device Nomenclature (EMDN) code (`emdn_code`)

Code of the European Medical Device Nomenclature, which the European Commission maintains for the Medical Devices and In Vitro Diagnostic Regulations and EUDAMED. It is a category letter followed by a two-digit group and up to five two-digit type levels, at most 13 characters. A bare category letter is also a code but is not matched.
