Identifier of a bathing water (a beach or bathing site on the sea, a lake or a river) that a country reports to the European Environment Agency under the Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/EC. Bathing waters are registered as WFD protected areas, so the identifier has the EU code form, the two-letter country code (EL for Greece, UK for the former UK reports) followed by up to 40 upper-case letters, digits, hyphens or underscores (3 to 42 characters in all); the national part follows each country's own scheme.
