Code number of a control authority or control body that certifies organic products, printed on labels next to the EU organic logo under Regulation (EU) 2018/848 (Annex V). Its general format is AB-CDE-999: the ISO code of the country where the controls take place, a three-letter term linked to organic production (BIO, ÖKO, ØKO, EKO, ECO, ORG and others; GR is used for Greece and XI for Northern Ireland) and a reference number of at most three digits. Spain adds a regional suffix (ES-ECO-001-AN); Swiss codes write Bio.
