# French education region code (académie) (`fr_academie_code`)

Two-digit code of an académie, the regional district of the French Ministry of Education, as used in the national directory of schools (field code_academie), for example 01 for Paris. Some numbers are no longer used after académies merged, such as Caen and Rouen into Normandie (70). Other ministry nomenclatures use three digits.
