# Italian REA number (Repertorio economico amministrativo) (`it_rea`)

Number under which a company or other business is entered in the Repertorio economico amministrativo (REA), the register of economic and administrative information that each Italian chamber of commerce keeps with the business register. It is written as the abbreviation of the province of the chamber (it_province_code) and a progressive number, with a hyphen or a space; in Milan the numbers have reached seven digits. Each chamber numbers its own entries, so the same number can exist in two provinces, and a business that moves its registered office to another province gets a new number. Italian electronic invoices (FatturaPA) carry the two parts in the fields Ufficio and NumeroREA.
