Four-digit code that a card network assigns to a merchant by the kind of goods or services it sells, for example 5411 for grocery stores and supermarkets. The codes are specified by ISO 18245. Card statements and public spending data with payment cards use it. Some codes start with zero, so keep values as strings. Do not confuse it with the mobile country code (mobile_country_code), which is also called MCC.
