# Object dimensions as text (`object_dimensions`)

> **Draft.** Draft records have not been reviewed yet and may be incomplete or wrong; do not treat them as authoritative for legal or compliance decisions.

Size of a physical object written as one text value, two or three measurements joined by a multiplication sign and followed by a unit, such as 30х40 см or 68 x 82 cm. Museum catalogues, auction houses and shops use this form for paintings, prints and goods. The sign is a Latin x, a Cyrillic х or ×, and the order of the measurements is not fixed. Single measurements in their own columns are the datatypes height, width and length.

- Personal data (PII): no
- Categories: All measurable values (percentage, amount and e.t.c) (values), Common (common)
- Countries: global
- Languages: Common to most languages (common)

## Detection

Regular expression (Python `re`):

```
^\d+(?:[.,]\d+)?\s*[xXхХ×]\s*\d+(?:[.,]\d+)?(?:\s*[xXхХ×]\s*\d+(?:[.,]\d+)?)?\s*(?:мм|см|м|mm|cm|m|in)\.?$
```

## Examples

- `30х40 см` — Cyrillic х as the multiplication sign
- `25х20.5 см`
- `68 x 82 cm`
- `10 x 15 x 2 cm` — three measurements
- `1920x1080` (invalid example) — screen resolution, no unit
- `30 см` (invalid example) — one measurement is a length
