# Russian official publication number of a legal act (pravo.gov.ru) (`ru_pravo_eo_number`)

Number that the Official Internet Portal of Legal Information (publication.pravo.gov.ru) assigns to a legal act when it publishes it. Federal acts, acts of the regions and some court decisions get one. The number has 16 digits: two digits of the region (00 for federal acts), two more digits, the publication date as YYYYMMDD and a four-digit sequence number within the day. The portal calls it eoNumber in its API. In 1.7 million acts published from November 2011 to October 2026 the date inside the number is always the publication date. The meaning of the third and fourth digits (00 to 03) was not checked.
