# Unit of measurement (`unit_of_measure`)

Unit in which a quantity in the same row is expressed, written as a name or a symbol, for example kilogram, kg, litre or thousand roubles. Data catalogs often keep it in a separate column next to the value. Coded forms are covered by patterns such as the UN/ECE Recommendation 20 common code and UCUM.
