# US EPA Air Quality System (AQS) site ID (`us_aqs_site_id`)

Identifier of an ambient air monitoring site in the EPA Air Quality System: the two-digit state FIPS code, the three-digit county FIPS code and a four-digit site number within the county, with leading zeros kept. It is written with hyphens (36-081-0124) or as nine digits (360810124), as in the AQSID of AirNow. AQS uses CC in place of the state code for sites in Canada and 80 for Mexico. Adding the five-digit parameter code and the POC gives the id of a monitor.
