15-character identifier that the Toxics Release Inventory program of the US EPA gives to a reporting facility. EPA describes it as the ZIP code, the first five consonants of the facility name and the first five letters or digits of the street address. About one id in six (11,083 of 64,990 in the TRI facility table) has W in place of the fifth ZIP digit. The id stays the same when the owner, name or ZIP code of the facility changes later.
