Identifier of a swap in US swap data reporting under CFTC rules (17 CFR Part 45). It joins a 10-character namespace that the CFTC assigns to the entity creating the identifier (it does not start with 0 and has no letters I or O) and a transaction code of up to 32 characters, which may contain underscores, colons, dots and hyphens between letters and digits. Reports often carry the two parts in separate fields. CFTC reporting has used the unique transaction identifier (UTI) instead since December 2022.
