# WIGOS station identifier (WSI) (`wigos_station_id`)

Identifier of an observing station in the WMO Integrated Global Observing System. It has four blocks separated by hyphens: the identifier series (only 0 is defined), the issuer of identifier and the issue number (each 0 to 65534, without leading zeros) and a local identifier of up to 16 characters. Stations that already had a WMO index number IIiii received the identifier 0-20000-0-IIiii.
