Individual identification number (IIN) of Kazakhstan: the 12-digit number that a citizen or a resident foreigner receives at first registration. It never changes, is printed on the identity card and serves as the tax identification number of individuals and of individual entrepreneurs working on their own. Numbers formed before 26 August 2013 usually start with the date of birth (YYMMDD) and a digit for century and sex, but the current rules give the digits no meaning, so the number must not be parsed. The last digit is a check digit, computed as for the BIN (kz_bin). The IIN replaced the taxpayer registration number (RNN) and the social individual code (SIK) on 1 January 2013.
