Dutch school identification number (BRIN)

BRIN number (Basisregistratie Instellingen), the code of a school or other education institution in the Netherlands, kept by the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) for the Ministry of Education. It has four characters, two digits and two letters, as in 21AB. Two more digits may follow for a specific location of the institution (vestigingsnummer), as in 16PK00. DUO publishes the register as open data.
