Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog classifies columns and fields of scanned sources with data element classifications that are configured in Metadata Command Center. A rule-based classification is a Spark SQL expression over column names, comments and profiling results such as frequent values, and it can use lookup tables and reference data. More than 200 predefined rule-based classifications can be imported as predefined content; CLAIRE can also generate classifications from asset names.
