Oracle Data Safe is a security service for Oracle databases. Its Data Discovery feature finds sensitive columns with sensitive types, each defined by regular expressions over column names, comments and data, and stores the results in a sensitive data model that data masking can reuse. Oracle ships more than 180 predefined sensitive types in categories for identification, biographic, IT, financial, healthcare, employment and academic data, and users can create their own. The complete list of predefined types is shown only in the console; the documentation names some of them as examples, and only those are listed here.
